I like how Jimmy D. Brown phrased it:
“However “broken-recordish” it may sound, it IS a truthful statement. The fortune REALLY IS in the list. Fact is, if you possess the knowledge of how to grow and profit from opt-in-lists, you can pretty much write your own ticket.”

I know that building a list can be frustrating, been there… so when I stopped fumbling all over the place, I decided to buckle down. While studying List Profit System:

It’s just like a recipe, you follow it to a ‘t’ and the result is astoundingly delicious! Do it right the first time so you can do it again, again and again. But if you don’t know who, when and where to go to get that targeted lists of people who are craving your information, that’s where the frustration pretty much sets in.
Therefore, in order to have a list, you must first grow it and grow it the right way. You see, there’s no fortune in having a list of thousands of people who never open your emails, let alone take advantage of your compelling offers!

It is not enough for you to keep building your list. You need to build trust with the people in your list as well. If not they will send your newsletters to trash bin and mark you as spammer. Am I right, Regina?
