I was reading one of my favorite blogs this morning and the message couldn’t be any clearer than how I feel and know to be a fact.
Internet Marketing is Changing!
It’s amazing how we get a pre-glimpse into the future at times. The reason I say this is because I know that I’m always pre-warned by things to come. I have this unique spirit of discernment but I don’t always ‘act’ on it. I know it’s kinda weird saying this things but it is what it is.
Anyway my friend Alice Seba (she’s one of my favorite Internet Marketers) talked about why she’s been so quiet lately. Being quiet sometimes can be a positive trait to have. It allows you to rationally think things out without being compulsive and at the same time, it allows you to plan ahead accordingly.
I’m a quiet person by nature. I love to rehash things over and over to get a better perspective on not only my personal life but my business as well. My customers are always my highest priority when it comes to business because if we’re not properly serving our clients we’re not really doing as good a job as we think.
One of the ways to properly serve our clients is to better equip ourselves with personal growth, tools and resources that we embrace in order to empower ourselves to empower them. This could be by reading, listening to audios and attending seminars. When you invest in yourself, people tend to invest in you!
I agree with Alice when she hinted that internet marketing is changing… for the better. However, I’ve noticed that a lot of people don’t like the idea of change and then they wonder why nothing changes for them.
I love reading and learning new trends. When you empower yourself with new trends and ‘how to’ information the only thing that will happen is your personal understanding, knowledge of the industry and the ability to empower others increases.
Test Yourself
Ask yourself this question: What do you know about the Industry of Internet Marketing that could empower others? Do you know what direction blogging, social networking, ecommerce solutions and technology is headed?
What newsletters do you subscribe to that provide compelling content that will increase your knowledge? I do and if you’re really ready to focus to get the results you need then I encourage you to take some time to be quiet yourself while educating yourself at the same time.
My clients and networking friends ask me ALL the time, ‘what are you reading?‘ Why? Because they want to know what I do in order to get the results I get. Now I’m surely not bragging because I don’t know everything and I surely haven’t ‘arrived’ income wise. But I’m getting there, and to me that makes a huge difference from where I came from.
Every 6 months or so, I do what I call… clean house. In other words, I look at all the newsletters, teleseminars and blogs that I subscribe to and for those that serve no purpose, they get canned [into the trash]. So back to ‘what are you reading?” Here are list of just a few of the newsletters, blogs, memberships, etc. that I subscribe to on a regular basis (in no particular order):
- Internet Marketing Sweetie by Alice Seba
- Highlights On Marketing & Success by Alexandria Brown
- Talkbiz by Paul Myers
- CopyBlogger by Brian Clark
- Wealthy Bag Lady by Linda Hollander
- Women Power Radio by Raven Blair Davis
- Overcome Everything by Tellman Knudson
- List Profit System by Jimmy D. Brown
- Femalepreneurs by Jan Marie Dore
- Marketing Fit by Leesa Barnes
- Wendy Y Bailey’s, Group Mastery
and a few more. But these are the one’s that stand out in my mind and have had much to do with what I know about Internet Marketing and how to empower my customers as well as increase my personal growth.
Maybe my list doesn’t intrigue you and that’s okay, but find some that will!
My point? For you to know what Internet Marketing is, how it’s changing and how it will impact you as a business owner as well as your customers!
All the best,
Regina
