Both of the mentioned ones will allow you to view your posts and responses in an instant messengers type of style. These are great to use and minimize to your taskbar.
A word of caution, Twitter can become addicting and take up a lot of your precious time. It is best to schedule times to network so it is easier to monitor your use. It is smart to set aside time everyday to network and a great way to start is to set aside 15 minutes per day. This can be easily scheduled into your morning or evening routine.
Twitter is a great way to let your followers know of any new projects you may be launching or special posts to your blog. Twitter should be used as a marketing tool and not one where you only post links. It is important to interact with others on Twitter and form relationships. They will learn more about you and your expertise and will more likely follow your links and build working relationships with you.
Although you may not see results from Twitter right away, it is still a wonderful marketing tool. It is important to get yourself recognized. By participating in conversations and becoming a regular contributor you will become more popular and your business will flourish.
